Question about 'Kill the Office Paperclip!'

I have a question about Kill the Office Paperclip!:

I run W2000 but prefer to use Word97. Does anyone know how I can permanently kill the little paper clip "helper" who pops up in Word97 whenever I start to compose a letter? I can reject his offer of "help" each time but this is a real annoyance. To be honest, I've been asking about this from time to time for years and no one seems to know of a method. But, I'm asking one more time! Thanks.

Hi William, not sure if you've already seen this but here's a link to a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Hope this helps,

Carl.

I've always had success with renaming the Actors folder - I call it Dead Actors...
