Hi there, I have just applied SP3 to win2000 Pro and it has reinstalled Outlook Express. I have retried all Microsoft Q articles on removing Outlook Express and none of them work any more!! Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Glenn.

Do this, but it only works if your file system is NTFS. It keeps windows from recreating the Outbreak Express files on your system. 1. Explore to c:\Program Files\Outlook Express 2. Right click -> Properties (of the folder) -> Security (tab) -> highlight System (in the list of users) 3. Select No Access (permiss.) 4. Now you can delete the contents of the folder (DON'T delete the folder itself). 5. Delete c:\winnt\system32\dllcache\msimn.exe. That's it. You'll have an empty folder called Outlook Express, but the program will ber gone and your system will be that much safer.
