W2K does not use the FAT32 file system instead it uses the NTFS "New technology File
System". It does not have ScanDisk like those systems which run FAT16 & FAT32 , instead
it employs CHKDSK.EXE in common with XP and Windows 3.1. Iain.

Actually Iain, 2000 can be installed and run on FAT32.
