Active Desktop won't display items

I am trying to set up an item on my desktop as an Active Desktop item. Everything
seems to be in order with exception of the item being displayed on my screen.
If I go to "Customize My Desktop", all the setting are correct and I can even see
(on the display properties "monitor") where the item is suppose to be diplayed -
but nothing is showing up on my desktop.
If I select "My Current Home Page" its projected location also shows up on properties
monitor, but nothing on my actual desktop.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Ed

You're going to hate this answer. Yes I did resolve it, but for the life of me I
can't remember how I resolved it. I kept asking on different forums and someone
gave me the answer. I'm sorry I can't remember what the solution was. If I remember,
I'll be sure to post it for you.
Running low on memory,
Ed
