Question about 'How do I uninstall Windows 2000?'

I have a question about How
do I uninstall Windows?:
I've got a computer with Windows 2000 and XP. 2k came first, I installed XP, and
I've decided to keep XP and uninstall 2k. How do I uninstall 2k from that kind of
set-up?

I'm having the same query in mind too.
I have the exact situation as Lance E Sloan and I'm still in midst, looking for sources
to advice on how to remove Windows 2K safely, in a dual boot configuration of Windows
2K/XP.
I have a harddisk splitted into 4 partitions, 1 is of Windows 2K OS, 2nd one is Windows
XP ..the 3rd and 4th are empty. I need to get rid of my 1st partition (which naturally
is C:\), hoping to maing it like totally empty..like my 3rd and 4th drives.
Please advice.

for this problem please?
Thanks,

What you need to do is examine the boot.ini file to determine the path that xp and
2000 "live" in. You would then delete the entry that refers to the OS you don't
want to keep. You then also delete the entire directory of the OS you want to dump.
Also, if you format the C: drive, you will almost certainly wind up with an unbootable
system because 99 times out of 100, that is where your boot files are stored.
