i have a dual boot system, defaulted to win2kpro. has worked for quite sometime...now all of a sudden, it locks up on the windows logo page...and the progress bar stops...this ONLY happens when the system is first turned on...once or twice. if the system has been on for awhile, it doesnt happen. i have checked thru the event viewer, and can find nothing...i have checked the device manager...found nothing amiss. any ideas? probably something im overlooking?

Try booting in safe mode and running either repair or last good configuration.

Seems like a HW problem to me, taking time to heat up... did you change memory, graphics card, anything?
