I had my PC connected with my son's PC. My computer have w. 2000 professional, my son w. 2000 advanced server. He changed to w. XP and we lost connections. Both computer get internet through the hub. Went to network connection and press proprieties and it didin't have Netbeui protocolo. Clicked install and the W. XP didn't have it. So, how I fix this problem. Thanks in advance. Z

You can load netbeui from the xp cd, It's in a folder called Valueadd\MSFT\Net\NetBEUI. When you go to add the protocol you just browse to that folder. Hope this get's the job done.

I did get your response by chance, it helps if you respond in the original post. Can the windows 2000 pro machine see the xp machine? If not you have to go into computer management console and enable the guest account under users.

I did enable the guess account under users on the windows 2000. I have to do the same at XP? because so far they can't see each other. Thanks, you have been a very good help. I realy appreciate it.

Guest account on xp doesn't need to be enabled for them to see each other. I know this is too simple, but do you have them both logging on to the same workgroup?
