Question about 'Move or Copy Files at Will'

I have a question about Move or Copy Files at Will:

My problem is the reverse of the topic. I am not able to copy or move files using my mouse. What happen is I select a file by right click my mouse button to get the pop up window and then I select copy, but when I tried to paste it into another directory or disk, nothing happens. Even if I dragged the file to another directory or disk still nothing happens. It used to work but not now. I suspect it could be due some system settings have been over written after I have installed some software, but I do not know how to fix it. I am running Window 2000 + SP3 Does anyone knows how to fix this problem. Any help is appreciated.

I'm havving the same problem with my win2000. I recently installed the new Acrobat and it may be that or a virus. I think this happens after I map a network driver, and when I reboot the problem gets fixed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

so check this out, 2k users pull up your task manager......do you see CMD.exe running? if you do, ask yourself.......does my command line console start with windows, and when i try to end task does it refuse? the answer is NO, your cmd.exe file has been infected just like mine and reinstalling a fresh copy of 2k over it WILL NOT fix this issue. best of luck to you all, ive heard rumor that an unconditional format fixes this (format command with the /U switch active) ~CHris
