Question about 'Prevent Programs From Changing Your File Types'

I have a question about Prevent Programs From Changing Your File Types:

My problem is somewhat in reverse in reference to the above article but hopefully someone can help.

I was recently cleaning out some apparently "blank" or file types in TweakUI under the "New" tab. Afterwards, when I right-clicked in Explorer and examined the "New" filetypes menu, my option to create a new .TXT file had vanished. (I had previously customised the .TXT extension to open with Textpad rather than Notepad, which may be why the filetype was showing no text description next to it's icon in TweakUI).

I've been through the articles on here but can only find info relating to changing/restoring/modifying existing filetypes. The only thing I can find relating to creating or restoring items on the New sub-menu in Explorer is where someone had deleted their Ami-Pro or Lotus extension and someone was kind enough to post a full reg-key patch to restore it. From that I found the regedit branch which holds the New filetypes, but have no idea how to re-create the one to give back my New .TXT filetype.

Any help would be most appreciated!

The answer was staring me in the face all along. In Tweak UI under the "New" tab, as well as being able to remove existing New filetypes you can also drag an existing document template into this area and TweakUI will create a new filetype for this on the Windows Explorer menu. Although the entry is still showing as (blank) in TweakUI's New filetype list, it correctly shows as "Text Document" on the Windows Explorer New menu.
