Do all Wake-on-LAN cards have a cable?

I've heard that some wake-on-lan cards do not need the WOL cable. I ordered a card, and it does not have any cable, or anywhere to plug in a cable. Does anyone know if there are WOL cards with a WOL cable socket? Thanks.

Hmm... I have never seen them without the cable socket, so what card do you have?

Some get their power from the PCI socket.

Some PCI2.2 compliant cards can use the socket for both power and signalling, eliminating the need for a cable. Intel Pro/100+ and Pro/1000 cards are good examples of this (and excellent cards). Of course it should be pointed out that you'll need a board that'll support PCI2.2.
