I have a question about Use Dial-Up Networking over a LAN:

Hi, im doug and im 15yrs old and live in the uk. i have created a network of three computers and a laptop. one of the computers is the server but i connect to the internet though my laptop. i want to know how to access the interet from one of my other computers over my network. i have attempted a few way but it fails and i get lost. i would apreciate any help i can get. Thankyou. Doug Oswald.

basically you would set up your internet connection to share. If this is on a 2000 machine then go to the properties of this internet connection and tick the box that says enable shared access. Once that's done you can tell all your other machines that the gateway is the IP address of that computer that connects to the internet. And under internet options>>connections you would say that those computers connect over a lan. Hope this helps.

If you're using ICS to share your internet, you can enable the "dial on-demand" feature to allow other PC's on the network to initiate the dialup connection.
