I have windows 2000 edition and recently i was cleaning up some files and accidently deleted what now seems to be the Multimedia Audio Controller driver, as my system has found new hard ware "Multimedia Audio Controller" but says no driver is installed, my soundcard is on board my motherboard. My motherboard is a ASUS P4S333M with a sis 645 chipset. Do u know where i can find a driver or somewhere to solve this prob. ??

Reinstall your sound system from the cd that comes with your motherboard.

Hello, I had exactly the same problem as the person who intiated this thread. Now, the additional problem is my computer is a "Time" laptop and I don't know where I would purchase a replacement "multimedia audio controller" seeing as the company went bust. Anyone know? Please tell me coz it's practically an emergency. I mean, I try to get rid of suspicious programs and I end up removing something I need! I blame all these people making viruses, spyware and stuff. What a bummer. Please help a girl out, anyone?
