Question about 'Top reasons for random, fatal crashes in Windows XP and Windows 2000'

I have a question about Top
reasons for random, fatal crashes in Windows XP and Windows 2000:
My computer keeps BSOD'ing. I have a no-name (bought on EBay), running a P4 2.6GHz,
Windows 2000, 70GB Western Digital, Compaq QVision 172 monitor, don't know what else
you need for info.
I can't find any trends -- appears to be random and the stop codes are different.
The one that appears most often is 0x0000000a, though I've gotten 0005, 00024, 00027,
00005, and others. Like I say, it seems random.
Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

Check your ram. If you have more than one stick, remove them one at a time and run
with one to see if the problems clear. The power supply is the next suspect.

It could be a overheating issue. Open up the case, check the CPU fan, and download
a CPU temp monitoring program.
