SysFader shutdown problems

I have an annoyance that I would really like to deal with sometime soon if possible.
First of all I should explain the major changes that my computer has gone through
in the past month. I reformatted my entire harddrive, installed windows 2000 sp3,
and partitioned my hard drive into 2 logical drives, one for music one for regular
programs and such. Everything was smooth sailing.
The only problems my computer was having was with a smartmedia card reader by sandisk,
it occasionally gives me error messages after I take the disk out of the reader,
but by the time i have taken the card out i have downloaded all the info off of it
that i need so this is no major problem. Or so i think.
Now here's the real issue: Every time that I shut down my computer (using the usual
start menu, shut down procedure,) I get an error message with title "SySFader / .
. . . . this program is not responding." and then i must choose the command "End
Program." Then I am prompted by a 2 or 3 minute long process of "Ending Program
- SysFader" and finally if i am lucky it will shut down. "SysFader" is not giving
me any other type of trouble other than the aforementioned, but this is an annoying
process that i have to go through every time that i shut down. My question is, what
the hell is SysFader? Do I need this program? Why could it have started giving
me grief?
Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
-Blair

SysFader: Msimn.exe - Application Error: The instruction at "0x77ec83c4" referenced
memory at "0x00400067". The memory could not be "read".
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.
The Msimn.exe is a OutLook file
Also try this below
Look for a program called SysFader in your add/remove programs list, and uninstall
it. Or any program that might be the same thing. Sounds like a program you have installed
was compiled with a trial compiler, and it hooked in to windows somehow, and so it's
trying to run all the time, and failing. Uninstalling the offending app should fix
it.
or Find the file on the machine and rename it to sysfader.ex_
