go to symantec.com and download the removal tool for the virus. reboot to safe mode
(so the virus shouldnt be able to start and rebuild itself from memory when you have
deleted the physical file) run the tool and reboot and you should be clean. install
and run a adware/spyware killer and run that (some viruses will install a autodialer
or tcp/ip hijacker to reinstall a virus when you connected to the web.

Be sure to clear the Registry of changes made by the virus.
I assume no responsibility should you damage your system registy so, BACK YOUR REGISTRY
UP FIRST!!!
Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)
Type: regedit
Then click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
In the right pane, delete any values that refer to the W32.Randex.gen worm files.
Exit the Registry Editor.
