Connectivity in 2000

I gave up on WinXP and know use Win2000. Since the change I have been experiencing
Internet drops. If I leave the computer idol for 10-15 minutes I lose connectivity.
Is there a problem here or a suggested setting you can make me aware of that will
help?

if it's on a dial up go to start>>network connections>>click on the connection and
go to properties>>options and see what the box says about idle time before hanging
up. I like the never option. Hope this helps.

What are you using a modem or DSL or Cable, to hook up to the Net ?

I use a Belkin router with my high speed connection
