MS Paint no longer saves JPG/GIF

MS Paint no longer saves JPG/GIF

Hello.
Once my MS Paint saved BMPs, GIFs, JPGs, and the lot of 'em, but since I've upgraded
to Windows 2000 (from Windows ME) it no longer has the option to save GIFs or JPGs!
I use MS Paint a lot as a quick way of converting filetypes, changing canvas sizes,
stretching images, etc. so it is very valuable to me to have those save options.
Note: I did try Windows Update but it didn't help with this problem.
Any ideas of how to fix this?

MS Paint can ONLY save files in the BMP format..
If you want to save files in the jpg or gif format or BMP + more....
Download Irfanview it's free software and will do what you want..+ alot more....

I should NOTE it will save in the jpg and the gif formats and others in XP BUT not
in win2k OS..
Hope this helps a bit..
I have heard of some that some have copied the MS Paint from XP to win2k but only
50% of the time it works in the NTFS format.
That's why I said get Infanview program IT works in all windows OS...and has many
more items with it..i.e. email,resize,snap shot,etc. it will take a 345.000kb and
resize it down to 23kb so you can email with one click of the mouse...
