Outlook 2002

This is gonna sound weird. I have been using Outlook 2002 for several months, have
a lot of contacts and saved E-mails. I inadvertainly hit an icon in an application
folder that tried to install Outlook all over again. I exited out of the install
but now when I open Outlook a new Outlook comes up with no E-mail accounts, no contacts,
no saved e_mails. What happened and how can I get back to my "old" Outlook? I hate
to lose all those contacts. I saw nothing in the Recycle bin. Help please!!
Thanks,
Al Segro

Al
What application folder did you hit to reinstall OE ???? or do you mean Add & Remove
programs..
That's a new one for me..
There are many OutLooks >MS,Outlook Ex.,many ver. OE.
You can do a search for *.wab and *.pst files on your machine that may turn up something
with luck you may find them..and then inport the info into OE..
Good Luck

Thanks for your response Dex, the application was a mastercard application used
by our Credit Union for downloading credit card info overnight. I was trying to resolve
another problem when curiosity got the best of me and I had to open this Icon. It
tried to install Outlook 2003 not OE. We use Outlook 2002 as part of Office for Small
Business.
Anyway, even though I could'nt locate pst or pab files I located some archived files
and was able to import all my contacts and old E-mails from there. Now I see the
importance of "Archiving" it saved my butt.
Thanks for your help; Have a Happy New Year!
