"Control Panel > Users and Passwords" Not Working

eh what's up? I wanted to add another account with a diffrent screen resolution so I can use 2 monitors. Then when I click on the users and passwords icon NOTHING happens, no pop up window, all I get is an hour glass timer. I'm logged on as the Administrator, I've added and removed users before while fixing other windows problems, but now it just doesn't open the window.

It sounds like your XP got clobbered.

I believe your scheme won't work anyway. I think all users share the same screen
resolution. But I could be wrong.

There's another way to add a user but I doubt it will work any better than your way.
Right click on My Computer. Click Manage > System Tools > Local Users and Groups
> Users. Then click Action > New User.

Of course I should have said Win2k, not XP. It's all the same to me anyway.

ok that fixed it, but your right resolution is independant of users. Any ideas?

Doug Knox has something for XP. I don't know if it will work for Win2k.
http://www.dougknox.com/

If you are willing to take the chance, use the above link.
Then click Win XP utilities. Then click "Keep User Display Settings".
