Win2k auto restarts after log in

I have recently bought a new motherboard with nVidia NF4 ultra chipset, then I installed win2k with SP4 to the system. The installation seemed to be ok. But when the win2k is started, after accepting the Administrator log in password, the screen displayed "loading your personal settings", and the system restarted automatically again. When I log in again, the whole reboot cycle repeats again and again. I am using a SATA2 160G HDD. Can I get a clue on how to fix the problem please ?
