I can't find my IP address, when I do ipconfig it comes up with, "Windows 2000 IP
Configuration" and nothing more. I have 98 and 2000 installed because the upgraded
didn't get rid of 98, so everytime it boots I have to select 2000. I want to wipe
the C drive, but it won't let me do that either, it says, "cannot lock the drive.
The drive is still in use."
How the hell do I wipe this thing clean? I've deleted everything I can, and tried
to stop every process listed. Hope someone can help.

Jeff
What do you what to end up with ?
A clean HD so you can start over or do you want to keep win2k or win98 ?
If you want to just start over with a clean HD go to bootdisk.com and download the
boot disk for winME
Run the file after you it downloaded ,it will make a boot disk for you..
Then boot with that disk and run the Fdisk at the A:
and remove ALL the partitions then make a new one at that point the machine will
reboot then at the A: type
format c: /s when it's done with the format remove the boot disk and reboot , now
you install the OS you want to run..
Hope this helps

Jeff,
CLick on the link in my signature and it will take you to a site that has the install
procedure listed. The reason you could not format the drive is because you tried
to format your C: drive while inside of Windows. In that respect, Windows is smarter
than the user and will not commit suicide so to speak. If you want to format your
system drive, you must, and always have had to, format it from outside of the Operating
system.
Clean Install XP
