Direct X 9.0c Bad?

I recently posted that I had problems with my Win2000. I reinstalled Windows, and
it all works fine now, but when I downloaded the service packs, I downloaded the
most recent update for Direct X, and all my issues came back. I did everything over,
save updating Direct X, and everything works fine. Is there something wrong with
the latest version of Direct X?

The only other problem I have now is that for some reason, Mozilla won't run, but
I just downloaded Firefox instead.

You may want to stick with the 8.1 ver. made for win2k.
The ver. 9 will work if you have a Highend video card.
Plus if you need it, one of the programs you install will ask you to to upgrade if
it needs it but the 8.1 should work just fine in win2k...
