Question about 'My extra-cool DOS game won't run under Windows'

I have a question about My extra-cool DOS game won't run under Windows:

I've had this problem with both XP Home and 2000 Pro. I simply can't figure out how to get Mechwarrior 2 or it's expansions to install. Windows is just like, 'no,' as soon as the disk goes in the CD-ROM drive. I've been craving these games for like 3 months, and I'm almost to the point of putting windows 98 back on one of my computers just so I can play these games. I'm a nerd. If anyone can help me get around this, PLEASE do! Thank you so much.

Give this a shot..

Also
Copy the autoexec.nt and the config.nt from the c:\winnt\repair folder and paste
them into the c:\winnt\system32 folder.

Good luck with the games.
