hi everyone, i have 2 computers one is win2000 pro and the other is xp pro. the win 2000 is connected to the internet with 3com card. it also has an edimax wireless card. the xp hase edimax wireless card to. i set up internet connection sharing on the 3com card on win 2000. the wireless net is working fine between the computers that can see eachother but still the xp cant get to the internet. why? thanks

You will need to tell win2k machine to share the hookup.
see the HELP in win2k (share InterNet)
BUT
You should get one more item to help with your Lan system.
Pickup a wireless router plug your cable from your ISP into it and your win2k machine 
and your XP machine will pick it up and hook up via. the Lan system.
Check with your ISP to see if they have one or check with your local computer store 
for one there are many on the market from 20 to 80 bucks.

I am doing pretty much the opposite, but I am stuck too. I have a Windows XP computer with a modem dial up to People PC and a Laptop Windows 2000. I can do the file sharing, but the Laptop can't use the Internet connection for some reason. I've been trying for 1-2 days now to try to figure out how to do the Internet Connection Sharing. Anyone with insight, please write back. Paul
