Remmo
Download and install FireFox it comes with a Popup Blocker and turn off the Messenger
Service on your machine. (Messenger Service is side door in windows that you did
not close and popups use it to bug you)
Use this free tool to do that.
Service Controller XP 2.2.61

to stay legal any spyware must have an uninstall feature, however there is no requirement
to make them easy to find or use. look around the page it opens and the page main
page that might be linked to it, the uninstall feature is usualy hidden on the small
print at the bottom of the page, also look in add/remove programs in the windows
control pannel for anything that looks like it may be connected to the popups. if
that dosnt work try creating a hotmail account and useing that to email them demanding
thay provide a tool to uninstall thair crap. do not use your normal email as thay
probably will spam you and keep a copy of all the emails you send them and thay send
you. if thay refuse you may be able to sue them.

Er...what, exactly, is "legal spyware"? There's no such thing as uninstallable spyware! Has ANYONE on this board heard of spyware which gives you an option to remove it?! Come ON!

They don't WANT people to uninstall their crap! And replying to unsolicited emails will not get you removed from their mailing lists - all that does is to confirm they've got a valid email address, after which they'll send MORE crap!

Surely everyone's got the message by now:

DO NOT REPLY TO UNSOLICITED EMAIL. EVER. NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER.

Of course, everyone's free to ignore this advice; it's not my place or anyone else's to lecture anyone. But if you do, do not blame me - or anyone else giving similar advice - for the consequences. As Mad-Eye Moody might say: "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" :)

Spyware companies work on the edge of the law but thay still have to work within
the law or face getting closed down, thair assets ceased and fined rediculouse ammounts
of money (and possably some porridge time as well). hense even though thay dont want
you to remove it thay must provide an uninstall tool. thay get round this by making
it hard to find and use. also didnt i say not to use your usual email as it is likely
to get spammed, i think i did :)
