Custom Paper Size- Explanation the Problem

Dear Sir,
There is no "Custom" option in printer property page,
in Windows 2000 like win 9x .
Windows 2000 has server properties for do this option (File---> Server properties
) in printers folder.
but there is limitition for some printer and paper size.
Eg - Citizen GSX 230 , Epson Lx 300 .
I can set any paper size in win 9x for that printer,
but in win 2000 I can't set less than 6 CM paper height for that printers (that form
is not saved or 2nd time not display saved form), Why is that ?
I want any custom paper (for a small Invoice ) print by win 2000 with dot matrix
printers ( Citizen , Epson )
please install one of above printer and tell me how can I print following type of
paper with win 2000,
Paper weidth : 20CM.
Paper Height : 12 CM.
Printer : Citizen GSX 230.
O/S - Windows 2000/ Windows XP.
Note : Printer must be stop at the end of paper.
In windows 98 this can do within 2 min !.
Thanks

You will need to download the full driver set for win2k,5.1mb
for the Epson Lx 300 from:
http://www.epson.com.sg/epson/drivers/driver_download.htm?mode=3&catid=2&productModel=2&catid=&pid=18&ad=1&downloadType=Windows
or
http://asia.cnet.com/downloads/pc/swinfo/0,39000588,20076415s,00.htm
And the same for the
Citizen GSX 230
Then you can select the paper size you want to use.

It looks like Citizen (GSX 230) did not put out new drivers for win2k OS.
You can download the gsx230.zip set for win98se from driverguide.com that may do
it but I'm not sure on that one.
Or you may need to use a 3rd party software to get what you want.see below ▼
http://www.download.com/ClickBook/3000-2088_4-10345085.html?tag=lst-0-1
http://www.download.com/InstantInvoice/3000-2066_4-10400531.html?tag=lst-0-3
I recall using a print program on my Epson dot.that would let you reisize it to what
you need but I don't recall the name off the top of my head, but if you can't find
a program let me know and I will look it up on my old win98 machine..
I used a 3 1/2" x 6" Invoice if I recall it right.
One more note. I also used a Star Printer driver (same as a Epson and IBM format)
that did the same thing almost for the Citizen Laz.Printer ,150 lb.printer.
Good Luck

About this: If you try to use the Epson drivers (does not matter if is the one built
in Windows or the one in the Epson´s website), you never will be able to apply your
custom paper size. BUT, you can use the IBM Pro Printer II driver, and then you will
be able to apply your custom settings. This is because all the impact printers are
based in the IBM model. Try it.
