That sequence did not work, however I did access my folders and found "window explorer" and that did work, however, I am not able to keep my desktop after rebooting. Anyone know how to keep the desktop? Thank, Terry

Take a look at this web page,it will have many items to fix your machine.
Most are listed for XP but it's same in win2k also
