Question about 'Get Rid of the Logon Screen'

I have a question about Get
Rid of the Logon Screen:
I purchased a used computer from my prior employer, once I boot it up the only screen
that comes out is the control, alt, delete screen asking me for a logon name and
password along with a domain...I cannot click or do anythng else to the computer
other than pressing f10 to enter the set up...Can anyone tell me what I can do to
remove this screen while not being able to access anything else...

screen
Because you got it from your prior employer and it's setup for a domain you will
need to get a win2k cd and wipe the HD and reinstall the win2k .
You can get software to reset the password BUT because it was setup for a domain
you will run into errors when you try and logon. (i.e. can't find domain) you can
get around this error but you need to be Advance computer user to do it.
So it's just best to start over with a clean install of win2k or XP if you want and
the machine can take it on without errors. (512mb of ram a min. for XP )
Good Luck

I appreciate your prompt response...Since I am not a wiz at computers or anywhere
near that I'd like to ask another question...Once I have the win2k cd all I have
to do is pop the CD in the computer and it will prompt me to further instructions?
The thing is I can't pass that screen at all (cntrl, alt, del screen) please advise...
thanks

Yes more or less
The win2k cd will take over the machine when you boot with.
Start Over info below
Reboot with the win2k cd
Windows will load up the setup files.
Then you will see 3 items listed
Select the 1st one with the Enter key
Windows will look for the systems you have on the machine.
Then hit ESC key=Select Don't repair
Then you will see the OS you now have on the machine
Highlight the items with the arrow key
and use the D key do DEL. the Partition.(s)
Then windows ask what you want to do Select install win2k will now take over and
install.
format and install....

screen
Just a NOTE**
When you install win2k ,you will see two popups asking you for a password for the
Admin. and you (the user)
Don't just use the enter key and bypass this enter a password for the Admin. like
12345678 then when see the popup for the user (you) enter your 1st.name and a password
like 1234 win2k will make a folder in your 1st name that holds your setting.
You can also tell win2k that you are the only user of this machine, that will help
with a quicker logon.
In short read, read, read all the popups b/4 you move on with the new install this
is the time to set win2k up the way you want,it can be a pain to go back and change
thiings after the install.
Good Luck with the new install
