Sounds like win2k is having a hard time finding a command on the HD.
You may want to defrag the HD and run the hiidden scandisk in win2k.
MyComputer/right click on the C: icon select Prop./Tools/Check Error button/check
both items.
win2k will need to reboot and dismount the HD to run the command.
When you get back into win2k run this command if you still have the same error.
Start/Run sfc /purgecache have your win2k cd on hand it may ask for it.
