If it's just one folder you have the error with you may need to use the Reset All
Folders and use the Apply to All Folders button(s).(after you select the items you
want)
MyComputer/Tools/Folder Opt./View folder
or Open Explore and Tools/Folder Opt.View folder
Plus look at the Gen'L.folder to make sure it's set the way you want.

Still no luck...No matter what I do...

Give the reg hacks below a try it may get it back.
They are for XP but they work in win2k also.

Nope, still did not work. However, I figured out the solution. Very simple. Create
a new folder, copy the files from the old folder into the new one. It works like
a charm. Seems like the folder and/or settings got corrupted...
