Download (once!) and save security downloads

I recently installed W/2000 onto several different machines, wasting hours monitoring
the circular process by which the Microsoft update site doles out the updates one
or two at a time, after the fifty or so that are grouped together are loaded. I
was able to Google a site that gave instructions to download and save the entire
I/E6.0 SP1, thereby saving a little time. But it sure would be nice to do this whole
process ONCE, and save it to a CD, so I could do it without even going on the web,
like using the free Security Update CD that Microsoft made available several years
ago. Does anyone know if this is possible and, if so, how?
Thanks and Aloha
