Win2k will from time to time have a hard time sharing the USB ports,,,but it can
be a error in the IRQ that windows has set up for both devices, win2k likes to share
IRQ 9 with many over loaded devices,,,you can try and reset the IRQ ,, remove all
the other USB items and just bout u[ with the new HD then once win2k inds the device
and gives it a new IRQ (with luck) then plug the other usb items one at a time after
a reboot for ea. item...win2k with some luck will let you rework the IRQ setting
but it's a real long shot with the USB port(s) you can try and add a USB pci card
that sometimes will work with win2k...
