problem with paint

When I open paint, I get the message "not enough memory." It opens but no tool box
only a white screen. I can open images but get the same message when I try to change
the atributes.
How can I repair this problem?

I knew I was geting senile. Had attributes set for inches instead of pixels. Try
to change to 480 X 360. Just hit the default size and everything is copacetic.

Get more memory, or change Virtual memory settings
