Removing 2000 from a duel boot with Xp pro

Hello,
How do I remove 2000 from my computer that has xp pro also on it.
1.)I have no files in either of importance.
2.) When I boot up it tells me to use the up/dwn arrows to select either Win 2000
or xp pro.
3.) I have no updates on either. They are straight off the original program disk.
Thank you all and Good-Day

Edit the boot.ini file and remove the call to win2k,once you have done that reboot...you
will not see the call to win2k... at that point open Explore and find the C:\winnt
folder and remove it ( you can just rename it to be on the safe side, once your
sure then go back in and remove it ) you will get a error message saying that it's
so big you can't get it back,,,but it will be gone :)
If you don't know how to edit the boot.ini file let windows do it for you ,find the
Startup and Recovery item and select the default OS you want to use ,select it from
the list at the top and then reboot...
For more help see the HELP in win2k ....

Hello Dex,
Thank you for the info. My problem is I am, very
naive about computers. I do not even know the first step to perform the suggestions.
I am familar with such action as example: clic Start, clic programs,...etc.
I'll keep trying.

HI Kirk
Do this
Right click on MyComputer then select Prop./Advance folder/at the bottom you will
see StartUp and Recovery button,Setting,,, click on it , once you see the window,
at the top you will a item called Default OS , select XP then the OK button, then
reboot, if you did it right you will NOT see the item asking you to select the
OS you want to use...from that point see the other post ,how to remove win2k from
your machine.. ...
