Unable to open photo CD's burned on XP with Windows 2000 reader

I am unable to read photo CD's created with Windows XP on my Windows 2000 CD-Rom
drive. My drive does not recognize that a CD has been loaded. Is there a download
or patch available to fix this, must I redefine my 2000 installation instructions,
or do I need to upgrade to Windows XP?

I should note what FINALIZED is
It's a small file ,like a fat table or to say a menu telling the rom device/OS how
to use the files and what's on the disk.
It's sometimes called a lead-in and lead-out commands

Thanks for the almost instant reply, Dex. I opened the CD in question on a laptop
using Vista, and made a copy which was finalized, and it worked just fine on my Windows
2000 equipment. I appreciate your help.
