Machine will not pass F8 screen

I get a message when I tell my computer to start normally after reaching the F8 screens.
When I'm offered to start my system normally, I next get the blue screen with error
- PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with technical error - STOP: 0X00000050 (0X80F50048,
0X00000000, 0X80F50048, 0X00000000). My computer will not go into any mode after
this and I have to hold the power switch in to force the comuter to cut off while
in the blue screen.

Your reg files are nuked, Have your 2k cd at the ready and boot from it,, You'll
get the option to do a repair as opposed to an install. Try this, it should work.
Good luck.

Will it actually boot into Safe Mode? What about last know good config?
That error code covers a multitude of sins - and if registry files are nuked the
one(s) nuked are usually mentioned on the BSOD. A repair reinstall (which I'm not
sure if other responder meant), may sort you out, but the repair option he mentioned
is actually recovery console. It might be worth booting into recovery console and
running chkdsk c: /p. Then try again. If no good, repair reinstall may sort it -
or you may find you get BSOD at beginning of second phase of repair.

I found out that the CPU was fried on this machine. I replaced it and everything
is okay now. Thanks a million.
