Google IE7 and it will tell you the requirements for each OS.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Windows Server
2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
This is the requirements for IE 7.

Any Microsoft 2007 or 2008 based software won't work on W2K.
You can add Office 2007, Visual Studio 2008 to the list as well.
It's a bit of problem for companies that are notoriously slow to upgrade their PC's
from W2K to XP.
