Hello, My husband got an old computer from work running windows 2000 NT, and a password
window pops up as soon as we turn it on, is there a way to get past this? I do not
have any windows NT software. I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for your help.

You'll either have to find a valid user/password for the machine or as Dex says,
reinstall 2k (you could google for password reset apps). Might be worth trying user
Administrator with no password - but unlikely as from workplace. Didn't your husband
get any details with the machine/can't he ask tech support?

Yeah. I did that once. This nice English company helped me for free:
They may not be able to help if the password contained too many punctuation marks.
Also check on Knoppix. This is a version of Linux which runs directly off a CD.
It's about 700MB. It has tools to read Windows passwords.
