How to disable BIOS caching and shadowing on Windowsxp

My computer keeps giving me the message that spoolsv.exe has generated problems and program needs to be restarted

after working several minutes my computer shuts down and restarts,with error message to disable bios caching and shadowing..please help Charlie

spoolsv.exe is a real program, not spyware or a virus.
