lost 'file type'

i somehow changed file association for Internet shoetcuts. In trying to change back, the needed file type (hyper text transfer protocol (with privacy)) is missing. Now all my IE6 shortcuts have changed as well. The icon looks like a small "e" as opposded to the larger e that normally displays. I need to find a way to add back the above mentioned file types so I can re-associate my shortcuts. I havn't beeen able to find this info, so far. I'm hoping ssomeone here can help. thanks

You question needs to be asked again in another way. Internet Shortcuts are not just a file type that you can change. Yes, you can change the icon, and you can change the default browser. But your don't change the file type or its association by an edit of the shortcut.
Could you please restate the problem.?
