You stick your XP CD in the Rom and Boot to it. At the first Partition Screen, Delete the 2000 Partition, Then Create New one, Format , and the XP install starts. It takes about a Hour if you don't have any Hardware problems. Just carefully read and follow all the Prompts. After Windows is installed look in Device Manager for driver Problems, and find and install any Drivers needed.

Link is to a trusted Retailer of XP. .............Vista really sucks, and would stay away from it unless your Hardware is the Latest, Greatest, Fastest Computer Hardware on the Planet. Even then the Computer will run like Row Boat dragging a one ton anchor behind it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116056
