Isolating a Server

I need to isolate 1-2 servers on my domain from user access, only allowing access
to certain members.
How would I do this in Active Directory/Windows environment?
Thanks in advance.

We suppose you are using Windows 2000 as a server and not 2003. So, have you already
looked over the documentation and not found an answer?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/2000/default.aspx
You should be able to do this by moving most users to be members of a new group and
then not letting that group onto the servers. Or create an exclusive group for the
servers in question. Does that not work?
The link above also has other related links.

Yes my AD is on a Win2k server.
So would the group be on the local server machine or would it be a domain account?
Where would I assign such permissions for a new group to be able to access this server,
while omitting other users?
Can you give me a step by step procedure? That would help immensely.
Thanks

If the machines are Domain servers, each Domain server can add or delete users from
its list.
If all machines are peers and there is no domain, each PC administrator can assign
user groups and levels to shared directories.
From your post I am not sure if you are using a Domain Server because the domain
server controls what users can do from one centralized point.
You might want to post your question on the 2003 forum, most of those people are
into domain servers. I do not have the skill to go step by step. This forum is about
to go to sleep because MS no longer does much for Windows 2000. Hope you find an
answer.
