Dual Video Cards

I want to add a second video card. I have looked at the motherboard and it would appear that I have a slot for it. The board is a Gigabyte GA-81DX. Does this board support two video cards? Do the cards have to be the same? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Post your question on a hardware forum. Both NVidia and ATI have forums I believe.
Also might try tomshardware.. They can answer such hardware questions better than
we can.

This forum is for Windows topics/questions as hardware questions are off topic..
We try to answer them if it is a problem between Windows and hardware. You really
need XP for dual cards and most drivers are written toward XP. W2K is not well suited
for dual cards as it wasn't originally designed with dual cards/displays in mind...
Some of the older dual head cards will work if they have the drivers, but support
is dropping for W2K more all the time as is the older hardware (AGP and PCI slotted
cards) being easy to find...

Probably easier to just buy a new Video card that has two outputs. I have a few that do that, and they really are no more expensive, it is just a feature some have, and some don't. Like CK said though make sure the Card has Windows 2000 drivers. It is really hit and miss trying to get two separate Video Cards to work together.
