I.E.-6 opens and closes

The browser opens and closes continuously. I checked software removal and Explorer
isn't indexed. I can't get to F-Fox or any other browser. I tried to reload win2K,
but my 2K is from 1999 and won't overwrite SP4 with 2K w/o SvcPac.
It worked just fine on the old disc. Last week I replaced the old disc and reloaded
the O/S. I repopulated the disc with applications software, like LotusSmartSuite,
wireless drivers, Intuit - and O/S updates yesterday and today when I opened the
browser it was runaway browser time.
Any help out there?

Can you get a hold of a copy of Internet Explorer 6 at all? If you can. I will tell
you what to do next. I have problems with it too. But I usually can fix it myself.

If I can download the source/Object code to another computer - yes.
Otherwise I'll need to find a copy on disc. Can it be ordered from M'Soft?

A belated thanks for the help - I'll try them. Now having other problems: neither
edition of full featured O/S XP-Pro or 2K-Pro will install on new discs; I've installed
new 80 pin data ribbons and they run for a while and then send an error message that
they can't write files to either hard drive. The drives are new Western Digi Caviars.
Considering biting the bullet and calling in a local repair facility or buying new
complete computers - waste of money either way.
