What about starting after the command line/prompt and typing:C:\ IPCONFIG/ALL.Press
Enter. The following list will show that a DNS server(s) exist. The next step is
to type :C:\> IPCONFIG/displaydns at the command prompt and press ENTER. A list of
DNS servers in a DNS cache will be displayed. Finally to troubleshoot whether the
problem is the DNS, use the ping command after the command prompt: C\>ping. Type
in a well known web site like www.microsoft.com and see if u get its IP address.
For example type at: C:\>ping www.microsoft.com. The IP address of www.microsoft.com
will be displayed. Next, type your IP address which u got with the IPCONFIG command;
type the IP address after the ping command: C:\> ping yr IP address. The website
name will be shown. If the ping command works with the IP address but not with the
website name, then u have a DNS problem. Have fun and best of luck!
