Does the new PC run Vista? Is your wireless from a router or from a PC running windows 2000? We need some more info before we can answere your question. In general, a wireless router has a setup program that is not a actual part of Windows 2000.
In Windows 2000 sharing is needed when the PC that hooks to the internet has two network connections. One to the internet and another to the Local Network. If there is only one connection, then sharing is not available.
An alternative to sharing is bridging. That also requires two connections.

There is no ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) in Windows 2000 Pro as there is in
XP. Not clear at all what you have to work with as far as hardware and how you are
trying to connect.. You will have to give much more detail on what you have (hardware
etc), what you are trying to do (how you are trying to connect everything together),
and what operating systems are involved.. ;-)
