I bought xp home upgrade for my win 2000. I found out that it would not install because my 2000 is pro and my xp is home. Just wondering if there is a way around that. like downgrading my 2000 pro to home in the registry so i can install my xp home edition.

There never was any "Windows 2000 Home" version, but XP Home's Upgrade will accept Win95 or Win98 as proof of ownership, just by examining the CD for one or the other of those. It doesn't have to have been installed.
