I tried to rename my recycle bin in W2k. "Default" was modified according to the
instructions, the change is preserved in registry following restart, but the damn
thing is still called recycle bin!
Any help appreciated

Install the windows 2000 version of TweakUI and you can change it easily in there.

I d/l TweakUI from this site (different versions not offered, but apparently good
for W2k) and I can't see how to change recycle bin. Is there a special W2K ver. of
TweakUI available? If so, where?

Open TweakUI and click on the Desktop tab. Once there, right click on the recycle
bin and click on "Rename" on the menu that comes up

Recycle bin does not appear under the desktop tab in TweakUI on my machine. However
I d/l the registry patch and that has worked. Thanks for your input anyway.

There's a registry key you have to hack to be able to rename it...I'm looking for
it currently :) Good luck.
