Steve and Jazzman give you good advice.

XP and Vista are going to be identical in this case.

Here's the reason:
You receive 
a Stop 0x0000007B error after you move the Windows XP system disk to another computer

The above KB has a registry hack, but it certainly looks like one of those "Don't 
try this at home" kinda things!!!  ;-)
