I'm a web designer and have an ASP script I want to upload to my client's windows server 2003 web server. The problem is that I've never uploaded to a windows server before, only unix. I'm using a mac, and have both FTP and VPN access to their server. I have a pc too (winxphome) that I could use if I needed to. The script install instructions talk about things I don't understand and all the help I get from the script writers is that I can upload via FTP, and I don't need a pc to do it. Can anyone please tell me where (what folder) I should be uploading to (c:\Inetpub\AdminScripts?) and what the following means: 1. Copy all files to a virtual directory or domain on your server. 2. Create a Microsoft Access System DSN named "mydsn" (without the quotes) and point this DSN at your database file (database.mdb). [how would I do this without using a PC!?] 3. While in the Internet Service Manager or Microsoft Management Console(MMC) [what??], set default.asp as the root default document, and tek9.asp as the default document in the /ssl/intranet/ directory. You can change the tek9.asp to default.asp if you like, but will just have to do a search and replace on the filename. many many thanks in advance!
